Our Promise: Eleventrance is built by a parent, for parents. We treat your child's data and safety with the same care we apply to our own children.
What We Collect About Your Child
Only three things:
1.
A nickname (chosen by you — not their real name)
2.
Their year group (so we can tailor the content)
3.
Their companion preference (Finn or Flora)
That's it. We don't collect their real name, date of birth, school name, photos, or location.
We also store their learning progress (modules completed, quiz scores, XP earned) so you can track how they're doing through the Parent Dashboard.
What We Will Never Do
- 🚫 Sell your child's data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- 🚫 Show your child adverts. There is no advertising anywhere on the platform.
- 🚫 Build a marketing profile of your child. Analytics are anonymised and aggregated.
- 🚫 Allow your child to interact with other users. There are no social features, chat, public profiles, or leaderboards showing other children.
- 🚫 Use dark patterns or pressure tactics. The platform is designed to reduce exam stress, not exploit it.

How We Keep Data Safe
- All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Your child can only access their own data (row-level database security)
- Payment details are handled by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers
- We regularly review our security practices
ICO Children's Code
We follow the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code), which sets out 15 standards for online services likely to be accessed by children. The key principles we follow:
- Best interests of the child in every design decision
- Data minimisation — collect only what's needed
- High privacy by default — no settings to turn on; protection is automatic
- No detrimental use of children's data
- No nudge techniques that work against the child's interests
